These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Momnt governing your use of our app. By using Momnt, you agree to them — please read carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Momnt.
Momnt is operated by Shehab Adel, based in Egypt. In these Terms, "Momnt", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Momnt service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and our Community Guidelines explain the standards that apply to content and behaviour on Momnt.
1. What Momnt is
Momnt is a social network for reacting to shared live events. During an event's capture window, users can capture and post a Moment showing what is happening around them and their reaction to it.
Posting to an event may unlock access to Moments posted by other users who participated in that same event. Access to an event's feed is available for a limited period determined by Momnt, after which the event and its Moments are no longer available in the app.
Momnt may change how events, capture windows, feeds, reactions, comments, or other features work as the service evolves.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Momnt. You must also be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.
By using Momnt, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide about your age is accurate. Your date of birth cannot be changed through the app — our Privacy Policy explains how it is handled and how to request a correction.
If we determine that you are under 18 or that you provided false information about your eligibility, we may remove your content and delete or ban your account.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
You must not:
- Share your account with another person.
- Allow someone else to use your account.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Create an account using false or misleading identity information.
- Create another account to evade a ban or other enforcement action.
- Use Momnt on behalf of someone who is not eligible to use the service.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorised access to your account, contact us at safety@usemomnt.com.
Referrals
Access to Momnt may be granted through referral codes. Referral codes are tied to your account and are intended for inviting people you know.
You must not sell, trade, publish, or bulk-distribute referral codes, generate or claim codes by automated means, or use referral codes to create accounts you control or to evade enforcement.
Abusing the referral system may result in a permanent account ban. Where we find referral abuse, we may also review accounts created using the codes involved, and take action against those accounts where we find their own violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
4. Acceptable use
Momnt is for sharing genuine reactions to shared events. You must follow these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
You must not post or use Momnt to distribute:
- AI-generated or materially manipulated content presented as a genuine Moment. Moments must be real captures made through the Momnt camera.
- Off-topic content unrelated to the event you are participating in, including unsolicited promotion or spam.
- Nudity, sexually explicit content, or sexual activity.
- Violent attacks, fights, graphic gore, or content that promotes or glorifies serious violence.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse.
- Hate speech or attacks against people based on protected characteristics.
- Content that sexually exploits, abuses, endangers, or otherwise harms minors.
- Illegal activity or content that meaningfully facilitates illegal activity.
- Illegal drugs, the sale or promotion of illegal drugs, or dangerous or unlawful substance use.
- Dangerous or unlawful behaviour involving alcohol or other substances, such as impaired driving or supplying restricted substances to minors.
- Spam, scams, fraud, or deceptive activity.
- Impersonation or intentionally misleading identity claims.
- Private or sensitive information about another person shared without permission or lawful justification.
- Political manipulation, coordinated political campaigns, or propaganda spam.
- Religious manipulation, coordinated campaigns, or abusive targeting based on religion.
- Infringing content that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights belonging to another person.
- Anything else that violates applicable law, these Terms, or our Community Guidelines.
5. Use Momnt safely
Do not put yourself or anyone else in danger to capture a Moment.
You must not use Momnt while driving or in any situation where using your phone would be unsafe or unlawful. Do not trespass, enter restricted areas, interfere with emergency services, or engage in dangerous behaviour for the purpose of capturing content.
Missing a capture window is never a reason to risk your safety or someone else's.
6. No automated or programmatic access
Momnt is intended to be used by people through the official app.
You may not use scripts, bots, scrapers, modified or unofficial clients, automated account-creation tools, or other software to access or interact with Momnt or its APIs on your behalf.
You may not automate posting, commenting, reacting, account creation, content collection, or other activity on Momnt.
You must also not attempt to:
- Reverse engineer or circumvent technical restrictions.
- Probe or test Momnt's systems without permission.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the service.
- Gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or information.
- Overload, disrupt, or intentionally degrade the service.
We may investigate suspected automated or abusive access and may permanently ban accounts that violate these rules.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the Moments, captions, comments, and other content you create on Momnt.
When you post content, you grant Momnt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Momnt service.
This licence allows us, for example, to store your Moment and show it to other users who are entitled to view the relevant event.
This licence generally ends when your content is deleted or your account is deleted, except where limited copies are retained as described in our Privacy Policy or where retention is reasonably necessary for safety, moderation, legal compliance, or the protection of legal rights.
This licence does not give Momnt permission to use your content in external advertising or marketing campaigns. If we want to feature your Moment outside the normal Momnt service for promotional purposes, we will ask you first.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to post the content you submit and that doing so does not violate another person's rights or applicable law.
8. Who can see your content
Moments are not automatically visible to every Momnt user. Moments associated with an event are made available to users who satisfy Momnt's participation requirements for that event, subject to restrictions such as blocks, moderation decisions, and account bans.
Our Privacy Policy describes in detail what other users can see about you.
Users who are able to see your content may take screenshots, make screen recordings, save information, or share it outside Momnt. We cannot control copies made by other users after your content has been displayed to them.
Deleting content from Momnt does not delete copies another person may already have made outside the service.
9. Events on Momnt
Momnt creates and selects the events that appear in the app. Events may relate to sports, entertainment, cultural occasions, seasonal celebrations, shared traditions, or everyday experiences.
We may create, change, delay, shorten, extend, or remove an event at our discretion.
We do not create events around elections, political campaigns, contested political topics, contested religious topics, or events intended to encourage or celebrate violence.
Widely recognised cultural or religious holidays may appear as Momnt events. Including an occasion as an event does not mean that Momnt endorses any religion, organisation, political position, or belief associated with it.
The names of sports competitions, entertainment releases, holidays, places, organisations, or other real-world subjects may be referenced in text to identify the occasion being discussed. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners, and their mention does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
We do not guarantee that any particular event will be available, that an event will remain active for a particular period, or that you will always receive a notification before or during an event. Notifications can be affected by your device settings, internet connection, Apple's services, or other factors outside Momnt's control.
Our Privacy Policy describes the notification categories we send and how to turn them off.
10. Moderation and enforcement
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Objectionable content includes content that is threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative of minors, violent, graphic, defamatory, deceptive, or otherwise in breach of our Community Guidelines. Posting it, or behaving abusively towards other users, is a breach of these Terms.
Momnt uses reporting, blocking, and human review to help enforce these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
You can report a Moment, comment, or user directly through the app. You can also block other users, which prevents any further contact or visibility between your accounts in either direction.
We review reports of objectionable content promptly and prioritise urgent safety concerns.
Where we determine that content breaches these Terms or our Community Guidelines, we remove it and take action against the account responsible.
Violations may result in a permanent account ban. We do not operate a warning or temporary suspension system, and serious violations may result in an immediate ban.
Examples of conduct that may justify an immediate ban include serious threats, child sexual exploitation, severe harassment, deliberate fraud, serious violent content, attempts to evade previous enforcement, or significant abuse of Momnt's systems.
We may also dismiss reports where we determine that no violation occurred.
Appeals
If your account is banned or you believe Momnt made an enforcement decision in error, you may appeal by contacting safety@usemomnt.com from the email address associated with your account. Please include your username and enough information for us to understand the decision you are appealing.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that an enforcement decision will be reversed.
11. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using Momnt and delete your account at any time, from within the app.
We may ban your account or otherwise terminate your access where you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, repeatedly violate our rules, attempt to evade enforcement, abuse the service, or where action is reasonably necessary to protect Momnt, our users, or others. If you believe a ban was made in error, see section 10.
Account deletion removes your active account and ordinary product data associated with it. Some limited information may remain temporarily as part of our recovery processes, or for longer where reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, security, fraud prevention, enforcement, legal compliance, audit, or dispute resolution.

12. Intellectual property
Momnt's name, branding, design, software, interfaces, graphics, and other elements of the service belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except where permitted by law or these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reproduce, or create derivative works from Momnt or any part of the service.
Third-party names, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance or mention on Momnt does not by itself imply affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
Infringement complaints
If you believe content on Momnt infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, contact safety@usemomnt.com. Please provide enough information for us to identify the content and understand the rights you believe are being infringed.
We may remove allegedly infringing content where appropriate. Repeated infringement may result in an account ban.
13. Third-party services and the App Store
Momnt relies on third-party service providers to operate parts of the service. Our Privacy Policy lists our current providers.
Your download and use of the Momnt mobile application may also be subject to the applicable terms and policies of the App Store through which you obtained the app.
14. Advertising and paid features
Momnt is free to use and does not currently offer paid subscriptions, paid features, or advertising. If that changes, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy accordingly.
15. Disclaimers
Moments, comments, reactions, and other user-generated content are created by users and do not represent or necessarily reflect the views of Momnt.
We provide reporting and moderation tools and may remove content or ban users under these Terms and our Community Guidelines, but we do not review every piece of content before it appears. Our responsibility for user-generated content and the conduct of other users is subject to applicable law.
Momnt is an evolving service. We may add, change, remove, restrict, or discontinue features or parts of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Momnt is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that Momnt will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.
We do not guarantee that:
- You will receive every event notification.
- You will be able to participate in every event.
- An event or feed will remain available for a particular period.
- Any feature, Moment, account, or other content will remain available indefinitely.
- Other users will comply with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, protections, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Momnt and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or connected with your use of Momnt. This includes losses of that kind involving data, profits, reputation, or service interruption.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for claims arising out of or relating to Momnt will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Momnt during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 25.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing in these Terms takes away mandatory consumer rights or data-protection rights that apply to you.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply to you under the law of the country where you live.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Momnt evolves or as our legal, technical, operational, or product requirements change.
We will notify you of any changes by updating this page and revising the "Last updated" date at the top, so check back from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
Continued use of Momnt after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If applicable law requires us to obtain your agreement to a change, we will do so before that change applies to you.
19. Severability and enforcement
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms immediately, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.
